Elegant Brutality: A Balance of Industrial Aesthetics and Homey Comfort

This interior embodies the idea of blending the rawness of materials with the warmth and coziness of details. The main concept of the project was the client’s desire to create a space in a gray-black palette, which became the foundation of the design.

We completely reimagined the structure of the space: removed unnecessary partitions, and let monolithic concrete take center stage on the walls and ceiling. Black track lighting, exposed utilities, and electrical fittings add an industrial charm. Warm wooden floors, textiles, and rust-effect porcelain stoneware balance out the “coldness” of the primary materials.

The bedroom reveals a play of textures and shades: the rough texture of concrete harmonizes with the warmth of wooden parquet, the deep matte finish of a blue velvet bed, and the lightness of sheer linen curtains. Yellow and green textile accents bring energy and vibrancy to the space.

A special highlight is the kitchen: black cabinetry paired with rusted metal-effect porcelain stoneware creates a stylish and cohesive look. The Butler’s pantry — a hidden storage area for food and tableware — enhances functionality. Large living room windows flood the kitchen with natural light, accentuating warm tones and adding a sense of comfort.

This project showcases how a bold combination of materials and colors can create a functional, aesthetic, and comfortable space that reflects the individuality of its owner.
